The Lake Mainit is ...

the fourth largest lake in the Philippines.

It has a total area of about 17,060 hectares (BFAR)

With lakeshore total length of 62.10 kilometers.

It has a total of 31 lakeshore barangays.

Divided almost equally between Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Norte.

It falls within the jurisdiction of municipality of Mainit, Alegria, Kitcharao and Jabonga.

It can be classified as oligotrophic (nutrient poor-oxygen rich) lake from the physico-chemical (Limnological Study)

It’s water is classified as Class A by the Environmental Management Bureau.

Surface temperature range between 27.00˚C -30.66˚C. (more about lake mainit)
